Renjo la Pass Trekking

Everest Renjo La Pass Trekking trail is one of the challenging treks to Cho La Pass and Rengo la Pass. Trekking to these High Passes is exciting and adventurous one. The trail of the trek covers most of the Everest region with wonderful opportunity to view Khumbu Glacier. The trail also connects with Kalapatthar, Gokyo Lake and Everest Base Camp. The magnificent view of Mt. Everest from Everest Base Camp (5364m.) and access to Cho-La Pass (5420m.) and Rengo Pass is exciting adventure in Everest Region.

Everest Renjo La Pass Trek is full of gigantic views of lofty mountains and peaks covered with snow. The spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu, Cho Oyo and hundreds of peaks and mountains are very impressive while trekking around the circuit of Everest region. Trail goes through Everest Base Camp and reaches to Kalapatthar including trek to Gokyo Ri. The trail combines two trails of the region, Gokyo Ri Trek and Everest Base Camp Trek so it is also called Everest Circuit Trek.

Everest  Renjo La Pass Trekking trail leads through some of the ancient settlements providing the opportunities to explore Tibetan culture and their lifestyle. Experiencing high mountain culture and activities along with the picturesque views of mountains and green hill are rewarding elements of the trek. Settlements of Lukla, Namche, Thame and other Tibetan origin settlements throughout the way give clear insight of Buddhist culture in this area. Trekking is pleasantly adventurous while ascending to high passes and retrieving back to Lukla.

Everest  Renjo La Pass Trekking is moderate trek but it may have challenges in some days while walking in high elevation. Trekkers need to have good health and fitness to trek in this region. Everest Region trekking up these high passes is high altitude trekking therefore experience of high altitude trekking is required to trek in this region. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
This day is welcoming day to our guests in Nepal when you arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport. Our representatives of Destination Unlimited Treks and Expeditions will receive in airport and transfer you to the hotel which is booked for you in Kathmandu. Hotel staffs will complete your check- in and manage for your accommodation. We organize welcome dinner in the hotel in the evening with our company members.

Day 02: Kathmandu half day Sightseeing: Trekking preparation day
On this day, you will have a guided tour in Kathmandu city in a car. The focus will be on UNESCO enlisted world heritages sites of Kathmandu including Swayambhunath, Boudhanath. In the afternoon, you can visit rest of the sites of Kathmandu city and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Lukla flight and Trek to Phakding (2610m.) 2hrs.
On this day, you will be transferred to the airport for a short scenic flight to Lukla. It is less than 30 minutes flight with astonishing views of mountains, forests and river valleys. After landing in Lukla, we begin our trek to Phakding. The trail leads to Phakding enjoying the natural scenario along the way. It is about 2 hours walk from Luckla to Phakding. We stay overnight in Phakding in a lodge.

Day 04: Phakding –Namche  (3446m.) 6hrs trekking
On this day, we trek to Namche Bazaar from Phakding Village through Dudh Koshi riverside. The trail is pleasant with the views of forests of pine, fir and Rhododendron trees. We reach Monjo which is the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. The views of giant mountains are impressive while walking through the trail. We stay overnight in a hotel after exploring the surrounding area of Namche Bazaar.

Day 05: Acclimatization Day
It is acclimatization day in Namche so you have enough time to explore the life style of locals. Short hiking can be utilization of the time. High altitude can be harmful if we ignore resting. It is necessary to adjust your body with high elevation. Visit Sagarmatha National Park and hiking to Everest View Hotel. You can view the world’s amazing panoramic scenes of the earth and get chance to observe uniquely different Sherpa Culture.

Day 06: Namche to Khumjung (3840m.) 6hrs.
We trek to Khumjung from Namche enjoying panoramic views of mountains and green hills. The trail crosses through forests and meadows somewhere seeing shepherd huts. Along the way, you can see scattered settlements. In forests you may see animals and colorful birds too. The gigantic views of Mt. Everest and other mountains look very impressive while trekking to Khumjung where we stay overnight after exploring the area.

Day 07: Khumjung to Dole   5hrs. trekking
After breakfast in Namche, we begin trekking following the trail to Dole. These giant mountains seem to be so near from there. The trail provides unique experience of trekking enjoying panoramic views of snow-capped mountains and peaks. The trekking is stopped after we reach Dole. You can explore the surrounding of Dole and develop knowledge about the area. We stay overnight in Dole.

Day 08: Dole to Machhermo Trekking (4470m.) 6hrs.
This day trek continues to Machhermo from Dole. The trail is ascending up to the elevation of 4470m. Trekking continues with the superb scenarios of mountains and glaciated area. We reach at Machhermo and stay overnight there. You have free time to walk around the village and explore its culture and life style.

Day 09: Machhermo to Gokyo Trek (4790m.) 4hrs
On this day we trek to Gokyo Lake. The trail is through rocky ascend to reach the Lake. As we reach to the lake, the views of crystal clear lakes are beautiful. The mirror images of mountains in the lake water are so impressive that makes you stop breath for a while. We stay overnight in Gokyo Lake area.

Day 10: Excursion Gokyo Valley and Climb Gokyo Ri (5357m.)
This day is climbing the Gokyo Ri. You have wonderful opportunity to explore the area around Gokyo Valley. The trek then heads to Gokyo Ri to have wonderful views of mountains and peaks. The views of Mt. Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyo and many other peaks are astonishing from the top of Gokyo Ri. We have Full day excursion of Gokyo surrounding and overnight stay in Gokyo lake side.

Day 11: Gokyo to Lungdung Trek (4600m) 7 hrs.
On this day, trek continues to Lungdung walking a strenuous walk from Gokyo. The trail is full of views of wonderful panorama of mountains and peaks. You can walk enjoying unforgettable scenario around the locality. In late afternoon, we reach Lungdung where you can exp-lore the surrounding area and stay overnight in a hotel.

Day 12: Lungdung to Sumna Phug via Renjo La Pass Trek
On this day, we trek to Sumna Phug through Renjo La Pass. The views of Tengi Rai, Rolwaling Himal, Pokhari Lake and Mt. Everest, Gyachung Kang, Makalu, Lhotse and lakes in Gokyo valley seem very impressive from the top of the pass. The trail passes descending g down the river and we stay overnight in Sumna Phug.

Day 13: Sumna Phug to Thame Trek (3800m.) 6 hrs.
This day trek Continues to Thame through some scattered settlements. You can see the panoramic views of mountains and peaks in Everest region. The trek is full of breath stopping views of scenic views along the way. In the afternoon we reach at Thame, a settlement which you can explore and experience local culture before we stay overnight there in a lodge.

Day 14: Thame to Namche Bazaar Trek (3440m.) 5 hrs.
The trek continues this day to Namche valley. We walk pleasant trail through the forests of pine, fir and Rhododendron trees. We reach Monjo which is the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. The views of giant mountains are impressive while walking through the trail. Namche Bazaar is your excursing sit for today in the evening and overnight stay in lodge.

Day 15: Namche to Luckla (2800m)
This day trekking trail follows a sandy path with strenuous walk. The trail is full of picturesque view of landscape and some mountain scenarios. You can explore Luckla Bazaar and shop local items there. You can celebrate your successful trekking there in Luckla with special brands of drinks. Evening time offers you to visit surrounding area before we stay overnight in Luckla.

Day 16: Lukla to Kathmandu
On this day, you fly to Kathmandu in the morning. This short and scenic flight possibly makes you feel nostalgic because of the glimpses of snowy mountains through private window of plane. You will be transferred to hotel where you either have leisure time or you may catch the last moments exploring the sights of Kathmandu. Shopping in market is another best option. In the evening, we have a celebration dinner together.

Day 17: Farewell in Kathmandu
As it is the last day, we have to bid goodbye to the guest as visit in Nepal comes to the end for this time. If you have time enough, you can have sightseeing and purchasing the token of love from Nepal. Before 3 hours of scheduled flight, our representatives will take you to the TIA. We hope you will be planning for another adventure-trip while you are on returning back to your homeland. You can extend your Nepal stay if you have time and desire too.
